Founded in Marseille in 1894, the Savonnerie du Midi is one of the last historic soap factories in Marseille 

to perpetuate the recipe and know-how of traditional Marseille soap. La Savonnerie du Midi is a founding member 

of the Union of Marseille Soap Professionals. This century-old soap factory has received the Enterprise du 

Patrimoine Vivant label. This prize, created in 2005 and awarded by the Ministry of the Economy and Finance, 

distinguishes French companies which perpetuate the traditional know-how of excellence.

La Corvette offer a wide range of product from this historic tradition ,adapted for contemporary needs and suitable for all 

the family , while respecting both the environment and traditional French expertise . Many of these authentic products-designed either for body 

care or domestic use-bear the ECOCERT label . 

La Corvette is rightly proud of its Marseille origins! the term La Corvette originally referred to the small three-masters 

that set sail from the port of Marseille on discovery missions. In the 19th century they were used to supply Marseille soap factories with raw materials. And  the voyage 

continues to this day ,with traditional products designed  to meet modern needs. 

The last four remaining soap factories in the bouches-du-rhone region of France (including the Savonnerie du Midi) decided to join forces in 2011 by setting up the union 

of Marseille Soap Professional (UPSM) , with  the aim of protecting real Marseille soap. They signed a Quality Charter that guarantees the composition of genuine Marseille 

soap as well as the process used to manufacture it and its geographical origin .La Corvette product are fully compliant with the requirements set out in this charter and bear the registered logo.

SOAP TIPS:

1.TO WASH ANIMAL 

-Use Marseille soap as natural shampoo for the toilets of pets 

and breeding 

2.TO REMOVE STAINS 

-Rub the stains with slightly damp  Marseille soap before washing 

the stains will disappear more easily 

3.FOR WASHING DELEGATES

-Dilute Marseille soap akas in hot water and then pour this mixture 

to soak the washing, rub gently and rinse thoroughly. 

4.TO MAKE YOUR OWN DETERGENT 

-Mix Marseille soap in water with a spoon of soda bicarbonate. Shake 

vigorously .Pour half to a full glass of the mixture directly into the 

laundry. 

5.TO WARD OFF NIGHT CRAMPS 

-Place a piece of Marseille soap under your bed.
